1. Communication error with vehicle ECU?<\/strong>
\nPlease confirm:
\n1) Whether the VCI is properly connected.
\n2) Whether the vehicle ignition switch is ON.
\n3) If all checks are normal, send vehicle year, make, model and VIN number to us using Dia. Feedback feature.<\/p>\n

2. Failed to enter into vehicle ECU system?<\/strong>
\nPlease confirm:
\n1) Whether the vehicle is equipped with the system.
\n2) Whether the VCI is correctly connected.
\n3) Whether the vehicle ignition switch is ON.
\n4) If all checks are normal, send vehicle year, make, model and VIN number to us using Diagnostic Feedback feature.<\/p>\n

3. How to save power?<\/strong>
\n1) Please turn off the screen while X-431 V+ keeps idle.
\n2) Set a shorter standby time.
\n3) Decrease the brightness of the screen.
\n4) If WLAN connection is not required, please turn it off.
\n5) Disable GPS function if GPS service is not in use.<\/p>\n

4. How to handle when you encounter “Insufficient storage space”?<\/strong>
\nIf this happens while downloading the diagnostic software, please proceed as follows:
\n1. Get your X-431 V+ username and password ready. If you forgot the password, please dial our after-sales support center hotline to retrieve it with the product Serial Number.
\n2. Reset the X-431 V+ to the default factory settings (For details, please refer to Item 5 in this Chapter).
\n3. Tap “Settings” -> “WLAN”, slide the switch to ON and then choose the desired WLAN network to connect.
\n4. Open the browser and visit www.dbscar.com to download and install the latest App.
\n5. After the installation is complete, launch the application and login with your username and password.
\n6. Tap “Update” to download the diagnostic software.
\nNote: For new App, the software structure and storage space occupied by the vehicle software have been optimized so as to avoid the occurrence of insufficient storage.<\/p>\n

5. How to reset X-431 V+?<\/strong>
\nResetting may cause data loss. Before doing so, please make sure important data and information has been backed up.
\nDo the following to reset X-431 V+:
\n1. Tap “Settings” -> “Back & Reset”.
\n2. Tap “Factory data reset”.
\n3. Tap “Reset tablet”.
\n4. Tap “Clear all data” to start resetting until the tool automatically reboots.<\/p>\n

6. The diagnostic application is failing.<\/strong>
\n1. Press the Home key on the tool.
\n2. Select “Settings”-> “Apps”.
\n3. Select the application name from the Apps list.
\n4. Select “Force Stop”, and then press “OK” to confirm.
\n5. Select “Clear Data”, and then press “OK” to confirm<\/p>\n

7. Does it support online coding?<\/strong>

8. Does it support Audi a6 2016?<\/strong>

\nNo.<\/p>\n

10. What is the difference between launch x431 v<\/a> and launch x431 v+?<\/strong>
\n1. LAUNCH X431 V+ supports Guiding Functions for VW, AUDI, SKODA, SEAT, while X431 V does not support it.
\n2. LAUNCH X431 V+ is compatible with LAUNCH X431 heavy duty modules (need to be purchased separately) and becomes a diesel-integrated diagnostic device with more powerful functions. LAUNCH X431 V Pro is not compatible with heavy-duty modules. When you need to diagnose heavy-duty trucks, you need to purchase the heavy-duty full system diagnostic tool for $1,399 if you have a V. However, if you have V+, you only need to purchase the heavy-duty module for $899, which is more economical and convenient.
