I have successfully unlocked the radio on my Chevy TrailBlazer with a clone GM Tech 2 scanner<\/a> from China yesterday. Here I would like to share the procedure.<\/p>\n

If you also like to unlock the radio, please complete the following procedure, using the Tech 2 scanner, in order to properly set up communication:<\/p>\n

Connect Tech2 to the OBD port of the vehicle. When the screen of the tool illuminates, it means the tool hooks up with the car. Then you can start the process:<\/p>\n

1. Go to the main menu and select: Diagnostics.<\/p>\n

2. Select Vehicle Identification and then the following options:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Model Year<\/p>\n

\u2013 LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete<\/p>\n

3. At the System Selection Menu screen, select: Body<\/p>\n

4. At the Vehicle Identification screen, select the following:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Appropriate model<\/p>\n

\u2013 Appropriate Air Conditioning<\/p>\n

\u2013 Navigation Radio<\/p>\n

5. Select: Navigation Radio.<\/p>\n

6. Select: Special Functions.<\/p>\n

7. Select: VIN Relearn.<\/p>\n

8. Then you will get a message: \u201cDo you want to clear radio theft information?\u201d<\/p>\n

9. To begin clearing, press the soft touch key on the top right of the scan tool. The scan tool will display \u201cClearing Radio Theft in Progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

10. Press EXIT on the scan tool and cycle the ignition.<\/p>\n

Disconnect the Tech2 scanner from the car when finished.<\/p>\n
