This procedure will work on any Mercedes with a five speed or seven speed gearbox. Fifth gear is the seven-to-two-point-six gearbox and seven-speed is the seven-to-two-point-nine gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that this will not reset the check engine light as there is some problem with the transmission, it will not fix any actual problems, it will only reset the transmission adaptive shift learning.
