5. Confirm Second Programmed Key \u2013 Step 1
\nWithin 10 seconds of turning the ignition to Position 1 (LOCK\/OFF), INSERT the second previously programmed key into the ignition.<\/p>\n
6. Confirm Second Programmed Key \u2013 Step 2
\nTURN the ignition from Position 1 (LOCK\/OFF) to Position 3 (RUN). KEEP the ignition in Position 3 (RUN) for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.<\/p>\n
7. Confirm Second Programmed Key \u2013 Step 3
\nTURN the ignition to Position 1 (LOCK\/OFF) and REMOVE the second key from the ignition.<\/p>\n
8. Program New Remote Head Key \u2013 Step 1
\nWithin 20 seconds of turning the ignition to Position 1 (LOCK\/OFF) and removing the second key, INSERT the NEW un-programmed key into the ignition.<\/p>\n
9. Program New Remote Head Key \u2013 Step 2
\nTURN the ignition from Position 1 (LOCK\/OFF) to Position 3 (RUN). KEEP the ignition in Position 3 (RUN) for at least 6 seconds.<\/p>\n
10. Exit Programming Mode
\nREMOVE the NEW key from the ignition.
\nIf the key was successfully programmed, the theft indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds and then go out to indicate successful programming of the key.
\nIf the key was NOT successfully programmed, the theft indicator light will FLASH on and off. Wait 20 seconds and repeat the process from Step 1.<\/p>\n
11. Test Remotes
\nTEST all remotes. Programming is complete.<\/p>\n

\nHave two programmed PEPS smart keys inside the vehicle prior to beginning this procedure.
\nPLACE the NEW un-programmed smart key in the pocket inside the center console utility compartment.<\/p>\n
\nPRESS the driver or passenger power door UNLOCK button 3 times.<\/p>\n
\nPRESS and RELEASE the brake pedal 1 time.<\/p>\n
\nPRESS the driver or passenger power door LOCK button 3 times.<\/p>\n
\nPRESS and RELEASE the brake pedal 1 time. The INDICATOR on the START\/STOP button should begin to rapidly flash, indicating Programming Mode has been entered.<\/p>\n
\nWithin 1 minute, PRESS the START\/STOP button on the vehicle. A message will be displayed on the message center indicating that the NEW smart key was programmed successfully.<\/p>\n
\nREMOVE the smart key from the utility compartment pocket and PRESS the UNLOCK or LOCK button on the NEW programmed smart key to EXIT programming mode.<\/p>\n
\nTEST all remotes. Programming is complete.<\/p>\n

\n* You MUST have 2 working smart keys (keys that start your vehicle) in order to perform this programming procedure without the assistance of a professional.
\n* A MAXIMUM of 4 smart keys can be programmed to your vehicle. If you\u2019ve had 4 programmed in the past, seek the assistance of a professional programmer.
\n* Ensure that the vehicle is OFF prior to beginning this procedure. CLOSE all doors prior to beginning this procedure.
\n* You MUST perform ALL steps within 30 seconds of starting the programming procedure.
