{"id":18468,"date":"2022-12-02T14:10:03","date_gmt":"2022-12-02T14:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/blog\/?p=18468"},"modified":"2022-12-23T01:52:08","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T01:52:08","slug":"toyota-tis-techstream-register-tpms-for-lost-communication-with-ecu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/blog\/toyota-tis-techstream-register-tpms-for-lost-communication-with-ecu\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota TIS Techstream Register TPMS for Lost Communication With ECU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Description\u200b<\/strong><br \/>\nThe purpose of this article to provide procedures on Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor<br \/>\nregistration when Lost Communication With ECU appears on the Techstream display.<br \/>\nThis condition may occur when trying to register one or more sensors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicable Model\u200b<\/strong><br \/>\n* 4 Runner: 2004-2009<br \/>\n* Avalon,Camry,Camry HV,RAV4,Sienna: 2007-2009<br \/>\n* Corolla,FJ Cruiser,Highlander,Highlander HV,Matrix,Yaris: 2008-2009<br \/>\n* Land Cruiser,Prius,Tacoma: 2006-2009<br \/>\n* Spequoia,Tundra: 2005-2009<br \/>\n* Solara: 2007-2009<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start\u200b<\/strong><br \/>\n* Connect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/goods-4749-MINI-VCI-FOR-TOYOTA-TIS-Techstream.html\">TIS Techstream<\/a> to the vehicle<br \/>\n* Turn the ignition switch to the \u201cIG-ON\u201d position.<br \/>\n* Select the datalist for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System.<br \/>\n* Check and set all tire pressures to specification with an accurate tire pressure gauge and compare the information to what is displayed on the datalist.<br \/>\n* After checking the tire pressure, record the TPMS sensors ID numbers.Check below operation case.<br \/>\n* With the vehicle set to \u201cIG-ON\u201d mode, disconnect the TIS Techstream.<br \/>\n* Using Jumper wire or equivalent, connect terminals TC and CG at the DL3 connector for at least 30 seconds. Do not cycle the ignition switch to \u201cOFF\u201d position during this step. (Landcruiser use TC and E1 at DLC1)<br \/>\n* Once 30 seconds have passed, with the vehicle still in \u201cIG-ON\u201d mode, remove the jumper wire.<br \/>\n* Connect TIS Techstream and begin the registration process<br \/>\n* After registration has been performed, leave TIS Techstream connected and confirm that the tire pressures are reading correctly and the thresold pressures show a difference of 5 to 7psi less than the inflation pressure.
