Autel MaxiFlash Pro J2534 is a reliable and flexible ECU Programming tool. With the OEM software, this premier tool is capable of providing dealer-level programming capabilities for all makes, all models at an affordable price.<\/p>\n

Autel MaxiFlash Pro alone supports\u00a0Toyota Techstream, Volvo VIDA, Honda HDS, Jaguar-Land Rover IDS and BMW 3G for OEM diagnostics (Need to Get Software Yourself). MaxiFlash also works together with\u00a0Autel MaxiSys 908<\/a> \/ MaxiSys 908P<\/b> to support more cars as well.<\/p>\n

Following is the software installation and connection instruction provided.<\/p>\n

Tool needed:<\/p>\n

\u2013PC or laptops with USB ports<\/p>\n

\u2013Software CD<\/p>\n

\u2013MaxiFlash pro J2534 Pass-Thru interface <\/b><\/p>\n

\u2013USB cable<\/p>\n

Install Device Driver <\/b><\/p>\n

In order to make the MaxiFlash Pro operate correctly with the re-flashing and diagnostic applications in the target PC, you will first install the MaxiFlash Pro J2534 Pass-thru <\/b>device driver onto PC that will control the device.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Insert the software driver CD to your computer. The driver installation wizard will load automatically.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Click on \u201cNext\u201d to welcome to the program main page<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Select \u201cNext\u201d on the installation location and installation name. It is recommended not to change the default settings. Otherwise the computer may have a hard time recognizing the driver<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Click Install and the driver program will be installed on your PC<\/p>\n

Note: During this time, a MS-DOS style window will pop out and may remain on your screen for a short while. It is normal, do not attempt close the MS-DOS style program as it will prevent the driver from being installed completely. It will be closed automatically when the driver is successfully installed.<\/p>\n

Install MaxiFlash Pro software <\/b><\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Connect the MaxiFlash Pro programming tool <\/b>with PC using USB cable. A \u201cFound New Hardware Wizard\u201d window will display<\/p>\n

6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Select \u201cInstall the software automatically (Recommended)\u201d, click on \u201cNext\u201d and windows will search for the driver software automatically.<\/p>\n

7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Select \u201cMaxiFlash Pro\u201d program and click on \u201cInstall\u201d<\/p>\n

8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When the MaxiFlash pro device driver is successfully installed, you will be able to see the \u201cMaxiFlash Pro\u201d entry in the Device Manager under \u201cMaixi Pass Thru Serial\u201d<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/p>\n

If the driver installation is not complete or unsuccessful, or the PC still can\u2019t recognize the device, an Error or Question mark will display beside the entry icon. Please try installing the driver program again by clicking the entry, then select start auto searching for the software, or manually locate the specific file that contains the driver program.<\/p>\n

Configure Network <\/b><\/p>\n

The MaxiFlash Pro<\/b> device program also provides users with an easy and convenient application interface for operating network configurations to ensure proper communication between the Pass-Thru device and the PC.<\/p>\n

9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ethernet Connection. Using wired network between the Pass-Thru device and the PC, users can choose either way of connection described as below:<\/p>\n

Connecting to a PC Directly<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Connect the PC to the Pass-Thru device with the supplied Ethernet cable.<\/li>\n
  2. Open \u201cMy Network Places\u201d Properties.<\/li>\n
  3. In the Properties window, under the LAN or High-Speed Internet heading, right click on the \u201cLocal Area Connection\u201d and select \u201cProperties\u201d.<\/li>\n
  4. Now a new window should pop up, titled \u201cLocal Area Connection Properties\u201d. Here you need to select the Internet Protocol (TCP\/IP) option, and then click on the \u201cProperties\u201d button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Again a new window titled \u201cInternet Protocol (TCP\/IP) Properties\u201d will pop up. In this window, you need to select \u201cUse the following IP Address\u201d radio button, and set the specific IP address (take the value shown in picture below example), then click on \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n

    NOTE: For specific IP address information please contact your network administrator.<\/p>\n

    After all the above properties settings have been properly set, users can continue on completing the network configuring procedure, please refer to the detailed operation guidance in<\/p>\n

    MaxiFlash Configuration \u2013 Wired Network.<\/p>\n

    Connecting to an Existing LAN<\/p>\n

    1. Connect the Pass-Thru device to a local network with the supplied Ethernet Cable.<\/p>\n

    2. On most LANs, <\/b>Autel MaxiFlash Pro<\/b> can obtain its IP address automatically using DHCP.<\/p>\n

    MaxiFlash Configuration \u2013 Wired Network <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

    1) Connect the Pass-Thru device to the PC or an existing LAN with the supplied Ethernet cable.<\/p>\n

    2) Power up the device by the external power supply; verify the green Power status light on the front panel is on.<\/p>\n

    3) Verify the Ethernet status light is on.<\/p>\n

    4) Click on \u201cAll Programs\u201d from Windows Start Menu, find the \u201cMaxiFlash Pro\u201d entry under \u201cAutel\u201d, click on \u201cMaxiFlashCFG\u201d, and wait for the program interface to pop up.<\/p>\n

    5) Select the \u201cSettings\u201d tab to set up the network configuration.<\/p>\n

    6) Select \u201cDHCP\u201d, if you are connecting to the local area network, the MaxiFlash Pro will obtain the IP address automatically. Select \u201cManual\u201d, if you are connecting to the PC directly for the first time, and then set the IP address on your own.<\/p>\n
