The procedure for installing <\/b><\/strong>DRBIII Emulator<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit<\/b><\/strong>:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

1: Start with a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2: Install all the necessary drivers for your laptop.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3: Set the clock to the current date and time. (It didn\u2019t work when set to 01\/01\/2017)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4: Connect to WiFi and performed all necessary Windows Updates.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5: Copy the \u201cwiTECH_Install\u201d folder to the desktop.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6: Install the provided version Adobe AIR.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

7: Install the provided version of Java.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

8: Install wiTECH.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

9: After you have finished installed everything, when you get popup messages from Windows Firewall to allow or block any applications, click \u201cAllow\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10: When you get a popup for AdobeAIR and Java to update, click cancel and do NOT update either AdobeAIR or Java.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

11: Open \u201cMy Computer\u201d and in the upper left of the window, click on \u201cOrganize\u201d and then select \u201cFolder and search options\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

12: Click on the \u201cView\u201d tab and under \u201cHidden files and folders\u201d select the radio button for \u201cShow hidden files, folders and drives\u201d. Also, uncheck the option for \u201cHide protected operating system files (Recommended)\u201d and then at the top of the window, click the \u201cApply to Folders\u201d button.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

13: Navigate to \u201cC:\\ProgramData\\wiTECH\\jserver\\data\\core\\stubs\u201d and you will find three installers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

14: Install the DRBIII Emulator stub.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

15: Wait for a popup to appear that states the security certificate isn\u2019t valid and click \u201cOK\u201d to allow the software update to proceed. Another popup will appear and the software update will run. After it completes, close the wiTECH window if it opens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

16: Install the Enhanced DRBIII emulator stub.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

17: Again, wait for a popup to appear that states the security certificate isn\u2019t valid and click \u201cOK\u201d to allow the software update to proceed. Another popup will appear and the software update will run. After it completes, close the wiTECH window if it opens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

18: Install the K-Line stub.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

19: Again, wait for a popup to appear that states the security certificate isn\u2019t valid and click \u201cOK\u201d to allow the software update to proceed. Another popup will appear and the software update will run. After it completes, close the wiTECH window if it opens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

20: Connect the MicroPod2<\/a> to the vehicle, then connect it to the computer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

21: A popup window will appear to install software. Click \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

22: After it finishes, start wiTECH and wait for the screen to show up with the MicroPod2 and IP address of it. You will see a \u201cLaunch DRBIII\u201d button in the lower right corner. Ignore it as they do not properly open the emulator.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

23: Create a shortcut on the desktop and enter the following into the \u2018Path\u201d field.<\/p>\n

24: Disable the LAN and WLAN network connections and never connect to the internet again.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

25: Click on the shortcut and you\u2019re set! The DRBIII emulator will open and give you the choice to select several different vehicles.<\/p>\n

Note:Its procedure ONLY work with wiTech MicroPod 2<\/a> from obd2tool.com<\/a>.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n
