All BMW ICOM from China A1<\/p>\n

The firmware version is determined by the ICOM serial number, in China they are all the same 1120134. To change BMW ICOM2<\/a>, you need to change the serial number in 24c02 to the serial number from the range 1801201, and then restore the\u00a0BMW\u00a0ICOM from the restore.bin<\/p>\n

Do not use serial numbers like 1111111, after restoration you will get a brick!!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unsolder 24c02 and change the serial number icom 1120134 to 1801201<\/p>\n

Solder 24c02 and perform ICOM_Restore:<\/p>\n

1.Copy to ICOM_Restore.bin flash drive<\/p>\n

2.Insert flash drive in icom<\/p>\n

3.Press the button and turn on the power, all LEDs will turn red and then release the button and press it three times.<\/p>\n

1.Please use internet cable to connect ICOM Next with the computer, and charge ICOM Next via 12V power adapter or connect ICOM Next to BMW vehicle for power.<\/p>\n

2.Use IE Internet Explorer to open http:\/\/169.254.33.45:60080\/, username\/password: root\/NZY1150263<\/p>\n

3.Select \u201cUpdate Firmware\u201d, you can see ICOM firmware version information.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4.Select \u201cBrowse\u201d to select file \u201cICOM-BootImage-01-25-02.bin\u201d, set image type as \u201cSYSTEM\u201d, click \u201cSend the file\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5.Select \u201cYes\u201d when you get prompt \u201cWrite the image file to the flash?\u201d, then ICOM indicator light will turn red.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6.When it shows \u201cThe SYSTEM IMAGE update was successful\u201d, click \u201cUpdate Firmware\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

7.Choose \u201cICOM-ApplicationImage-01-40-05.bin\u201d, set image type \u201cAPPLICATION\u201d, click \u201cSend the file\u201d, this will be done in several minutes please be patient.<\/p>\n

8.Click \u201cYes\u201d when you get prompt \u201cWrite the image file to the flash?\u201d, then the ICOM indicator light will turn red again.<\/p>\n

Complete updating, click \u201creboot\u201d.<\/p>\n

9.Click \u201cHome\u201d \u2013 \u201cUpdate Firmware\u201d, you will see ICOM Next firmware display the newest version.<\/p>\n
