{"id":8803,"date":"2020-04-05T07:13:15","date_gmt":"2020-04-05T07:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/blog\/?p=8803"},"modified":"2023-10-11T03:03:29","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T03:03:29","slug":"how-bmw-icom-do-online-diagnostics-for-e-and-f-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/blog\/how-bmw-icom-do-online-diagnostics-for-e-and-f-series\/","title":{"rendered":"How BMW ICOM do Online diagnostics for E and F series ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>To each BMW enthusiast, we offer Online diagnostics for N43\/N53 engines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What does it mean?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe will evaluate live data of INPA, sent to us by you, if necessary \u2013 will give recommendations for deeper research, if it would be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you have to do?<\/strong><br \/>\nPrepare the screenshots of the required menus from INPA and send them to us together with a description of the problem.<\/p>\n<p>List of required data for E series (E81\/E82\/E88\/E90\/E91\/E92\/E93\/E60\/E61\/E63\/E64).<\/p>\n<p>INPA MSD80 Loader 2.023 is necessary<\/p>\n<p>List of required data for F series (F10\/F11).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.obd2tool.com\/category-230-b0-BMW+ICOM.html\">BMW ICOM<\/a> INPA for F series MSD87 Loader 3.700 is necessary<\/p>\n<p>We will send the report as soon as possible with comments regarding incorrect or suspicious values, the report will be supplemented with images with marked incorrect values. We will give also suggestions and recommendations for required tests if the defect could not be recognized from the data sent.<\/p>\n<p>We will help your car run smoothly again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Following systems will be checked (initial report):<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Basic data<br \/>\nAir consumption (air mass meter data)<br \/>\nThe temperature of the engine, coolant, oil, plausibility of these data<br \/>\nThe temperature of the exhaust system<br \/>\nHPFP and LPFP pressures<br \/>\n2. Lambda probes<br \/>\nChemical activity<br \/>\nHeating parameters<br \/>\nWide-band probes: proper Lambda readings<br \/>\nControl probes: the ability of voltage generation<br \/>\n3. NOx sensor<br \/>\nProper data sending and status<br \/>\nOffset value<br \/>\nWide-band and narrow-band Lambda data<br \/>\n4. NOx converter<br \/>\nStatus: normal or damaged (from live data)<br \/>\nAmount of poisoning<br \/>\n5. Fuel mixture<br \/>\nOffset type adaptations: amount, the deviation between banks<br \/>\nMultiplicative type adaptations: amount, the deviation between banks<br \/>\nAdditional adaptations for a cold engine<br \/>\nLambda values and readings of Control probes (plausibility)<br \/>\n6. Injectors (data for each injector)<br \/>\nActual parameters: offset and multiplicative data<br \/>\nFlow rate tests for low and high loads<br \/>\nFlow rate tests for the cold engine<br \/>\nMechanical efficiency tests for Homogeneous injection (idle)<br \/>\nMechanical efficiency tests for Stratified charge injection (idle)<br \/>\nLearnbits: status of completed\/uncompleted adaptations<br \/>\n7. Analysis of error messages<br \/>\nStatus (active\/passive)<br \/>\nImportance and relationship with live data<br \/>\nDetermination of damaged component (errors + live data)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Based on initial information, additional systems (if necessary) will be tested:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Check-up of fuel system: jittering of pressures, leakage, fuel distribution in the fuel tank;<br \/>\n2. Test of VANOS: offset adaptations, confirmed position, jittering;<br \/>\n3. Lambda probes: tolerance of parameters, current leakage;<br \/>\n4. EGR valve;<br \/>\n5. Crankcase valve;<br \/>\n6. Ignition system: misfire counters (ELM327 adapter required);<br \/>\n7. Generator; IBS; power management;<br \/>\n8. DISA valves;<br \/>\n9. Electric fan;<br \/>\n10. Engine cooling flaps;<br \/>\n11. Electric water pump;<br \/>\n12. Thermostat with electric management;<br \/>\n13. Oil pressure management;<br \/>\n14.
