BENCH MODE: Direct Chip Communication for Advanced Odometer Calibration
Beyond standard OBD-II connectivity, the VP360 features an expandable Bench Mode that enables direct communication with instrument cluster circuit boards. By connecting to an external PCB adapter via the DB15 interface, the VP360 can read and write data directly to the EEPROM and microcontroller chips on the dashboard module — bypassing the vehicle's OBD port entirely. This is essential for vehicles where OBD-based mileage correction is restricted or unsupported.
