The New Ford Vehicle Communication Module 3 (Ford VCM 3) is the latest generation of the Ford IDS & GFDRS Vehicle Communication Interface supporting all current European production vehicles and is future-proofed with CAN-FD and DoIP communication protocols. The VCM3 features a new backup capacitor keeping the VCI powered up during low voltage conditions.

How to Setup wifi for ford vcm3

1. Connect the connector to the vehicle OBD

2. Connect to the computer by wire or wireless,

3. Open the management tool and install the patch to identify the connector

4. Now demonstrate the connector to connect to the LAN

(1) Click LAN Settings

(2) Click “Refresh List” to search for WIFI

(3) Select the WIFI to connect

(4) Enter the WIFI password in the password box and apply the configuration

(5) Wait for the prompt that the connection is successful, and the LAN configuration of the connector is connected.

5. Click on the configuration settings to ensure that the computer and the device are in the same LAN

6. Refresh the list

7. Select the device and click Apply Configuration

8. Open ODIS and the recognition is normal

If you want to turn off the LAN mode, click Forget WIFI in the LAN settings.
