New Holland CX8080 Noise Ingress Into the Cab on CXCR Combines

This Service Bulletin for the New Holland CX8080 addresses the issue of noise ingress into the cab on CXCR combines. The problem stems from an air gap between the rubber door seal and the A-pillar of the cab frame, affecting both left and right-hand doors. New Holland’s solution is an additional rubber seal for the cab frame, which, in conjunction with the existing door seal, creates an airtight seal between the door and the cab frame.

The additional rubber seal mounts on the rear edge of the A-pillar. When the door closes, it should seal positively against this additional rubber seal strip. This modification is effective from series 1965 onward.
